Private Cruise on the Rio Negro
Explore Anavilhanas National Park

Discover the Amazon in a unique way with a 3-day, 2-night private cruise along the Rio Negro and Anavilhanas National Park.

River Route: 200 km – Aboard a comfortable regional boat, you will sail through an exclusive route, exploring one of the most untouched areas of the Amazon, where forests and waters dominate, offering a true immersion in nature.

Anavilhanas National Park

The Anavilhanas National Park covers an area of 3,504 km² and was established as a national park in 2008, after serving as an ecological station dedicated to scientific research since 1981. With this change, the park became accessible to visitors eager to explore its extraordinary maze, navigating through lakes, narrow channels, and the lush flooded forest during the river’s high season. In 2017, Anavilhanas was recognized by the Ramsar Convention, highlighting its importance in the preservation of global wetlands.

The activities during the trip are determined by the water levels. The dry season (usually between September and February) and the flood season (between March and August) in the Amazon offer different landscapes and experiences. During the dry season, you can visit river beaches, rapids, rocky outcrops, and even petroglyphs. In the flood season, it is possible to explore the igapó forest and navigate aquatic trails.

Seeing giant otters in the igapó (flooded forest) is a thrilling moment—finding them is not easy.

Immersive Experience with Tauá Tour

Immersing yourself in this vast botanical garden is the goal of every river journey along the waters of the Rio Negro and its tributaries. In addition to observing the flora and fauna, we will discover colors, textures, scents, sounds, and nocturnal melodies that will awaken your senses and connect you to the magic of Amazonian nature. This immersion also extends to the daily life of local communities, allowing a deeper understanding of their challenges, lifestyles, beliefs, and hopes.

Amazonian Gastronomy

Fruits, fish, spices, and cassava-based products form the foundation of Tauá Tour’s cuisine, served throughout the river journey. Colors and delicacies create a culinary voyage into the heart of Amazonian flavors.
